Different kinds of plant tissues

Plants are a fascinating combination of different tissues: dermal tissue, ground tissue, and vascular tissue. Dermal tissue is made up of cells that cover the outside of the plants body, and vascular tissue is comprised of cells that act like the plant's transport system, bringing water up from roots and carrying nutrients down from the leaves. The ground tissue fits in between the dermal and vascular tissue, and is made up of cells that provide support for the plant.
