Resistance in Bacteria.
Bacterial cells have an extrachromosomal circular DNA that replicates autonomously and is responsible for many special functions of the bacterial cells. Such as the degradation of a metabolite or production of any other secondary metabolite. This extrachromosomal DNA is known as Plasmid.
