Select the correct answer. What molecule carries genetic information?
A) RNA
B) DNA
C) Proteins
D) Nucleotides
Nitrogenous Bases in DNA
There are four specific nitrogenous bases in DNA that differ among organisms. These bases are adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine. The positions and the configuration of the bases differ among the organism and in this way genetic character differs. Based on the configuration of the nucleic acids the functions take place in the system and that is why nitrogenous bases are the most important factors of DNA structure.
