How to find the excess reactant
Stoichiometry is a calculation done with an initial amount of any substance in a chemical reaction to determine the amount of any other substance in the reaction. Sometimes, if there are multiple reactants in a reaction, multiple amounts of each reactant is given. If the perfect amount of each reactant is given, they will all be consumed at the same time so neither is left over. Otherwise, one of the reactants will run out first leaving behind an amount of the other reactant(s).
Answer and Explanation: 1
To determine the amount of an excess reactant, we need to determine which reactant is the limiting reactant and determine how much of the other...
