Preparation of Aldehyde from Alcohol:
The conversion of alcohol into aldehyde is an oxidation reaction in which various oxidizing agents are used. The oxidizing agents such as {eq}PCC,PDC,K_{2}Cr_{2}O_{7}, {/eq} and collin's reagent converts primary alcohol into aldehyde and secondary alcohol into ketone.
