2) What D-aldohexose would give the same as D-glucose? Draw the structure of the D-aldohexose and determine it's common name.

Osazones:

Reducing sugars and phenylhydrazine, when reacted together in excess, a category of derivatives of carbohydrates called osazones are obtained. This reaction is used as an analytical test in the detection of sugars.
